Do you get as inspired by quotes as I do? Well, I must admit that I don't find all quotes inspiring, only the ones that I pass on to you here. When I saw this one by Bob Geldof, I thought, wow - there is so much more to this man than meets the eye! He just keeps it coming doesn't he?! Talk about balance, if this doesn't explain the importance of balance in our lives then nothing will. Sir Bob's words should indeed inspire all of us to find what we do and for what reason. What's going on with our economy? LOTS!!!

On the first of December 2007, just one week to the day after Australia's Federal election I had the pleasure of meeting Maxine McKew, remember her? That's right she's the lady who de throned the then Prime Minister and member for the seat of Bennelong, John Howard. My initial reason for meeting her was to obtain her details so I could profile her, which she graciously gave me. I was curious to know more about the woman who had dismissed John Howard from his seat so efficiently. They say that everything happens for a reason and I believe that because here I was informing Ms McKew that we would have a recession during Kevin Rudd's Prime Ministership! Did she believe me? You will have to ask her that. I continued to tell her that my reason for divulging this information was not to shock, but to help. Did she take that help? Well, I did offer!

Those of you who were at the MBS Festival at Darling Harbour in May of this year (2008) and attended my lecture will undoubtedly remember me talking about the economy and how it would deteriorate to the point of recession. You will also recall me demonstrating the number pattern that linked the current world major cycle with the major cycle active at the time of the depression of the 1930's. More importantly though, you will remember that I also gave you information on how to minimise any negative impact.

OK so here it is - yes we will have a recession which the numbers tell me will bottom out during 2010. The USA's recession is bottoming out now, from July 2008 to June 2009. From July 2009 to June 2010, the USA will go through the stage of reassessing its losses and working out how to move forward from that point. Australia's reassessment of its losses will take place from January to December in 2011.

Now for my job - my job is not to profile world cycles just to demonstrate that I'm the best at what I do. I believe that my job is to share my knowledge with you always with the intention of making your life better, especially during the tough times! You see, the wonderful thing about numbers is that they not only translate the experience, but they also give guidance on how to best take the experience.

OK, so here's what the numbers say. And please understand that I am not telling you on what to do here. I am only sharing with you what I am doing. First of all it's about cooperation, double cooperation - this means that if I have a loan, whether it's a mortgage or any other loan that's stretching my income like a rubber band, I need to reassess that loan. I cannot bury my head in the sand and hope that it will fix itself. It's far better for me to downsize than to wait for the lenders to do it. I believe that it's far better for me to lose a little now rather than a lot later. The other thing the numbers say is "be realistic." And this is what I've done - I've sat down with pen and paper and put it all down - debts, liabilities, income, expenditure, I mean everything. Am I panicking? NO! I am taking charge of my life. The numbers also state that balance is needed. It's not about closing the purse strings, it's about honestly and realistically balancing the budget and buying quality rather than quantity.

How do we fair as a country? The good thing here is that we have an abundant surplus in our kitty, and yes we must thank the Howard government for that. At the same time we must also thank the Rudd government for backing our bank savings. When I heard this I was absolutely elated. Why? Because it means that we can rest easy in that department, unlike the many US citizens who lost their hard earned savings. With the surplus of funds and with the right management of these funds the numbers strongly indicate that Australia has what it takes to minimise any potential fallout.

Having said that, my intention for you is always for good health and wellbeing, peace and prosperity!

Names, names... so what's in a name? What about names changes?

I receive so many emails asking about names that it prompted me to "talk" about it here. Many of you born in a non English speaking country tell me that you don't know which name to use when working out your Destiny Number. First of all it's important to know that your Destiny is written in the name you were given at birth. This includes all the names you were given, however any names given later such as during religious rituals do not apply.

What about changing your name?

In my consultancy practice Name Change Profiles have been one of the most requested to date. I cannot stress enough the importance that any name change be taken seriously and should only be prepared by a Numerologist expert and experienced in this area. So what happens when you change your name? Remember, your Destiny is written in the name given to you at birth. The new name taken on however, will give you a new channel of expression. It gives you a new avenue for using your skills and talents. And so it's important to know what you expect from your name, your reason for making the change, your career etc. Its effect on your life will increase over time. It's not necessary to change your name legally unless you particularly want to. Its effect comes from frequent use, the more often you use your new name, the more you will feel its influence.

It's a little bit like changing your hair colour. At first it's exciting, you feel a little "different". And then as you see yourself in the mirror and become comfortable with your new look, you begin to enjoy the compliments and the new way it makes you feel.
